This is a significant amount of work to implement for Mr. Cook. That’s why I added some sub-issues to track incremental progress more clearly. 🛒 Offline Shopping List: https://mrcook.featurebase.app/p/offline-shopping-list 📶 Open App without Internet: https://feedback.mrcook.app/p/open-app-without-internet
I would love if we could generate a meal plan for the entire week based on the recipes we have saved already. It'd be even better if you could generate a plan based on different parameters, such as only include recipes within specified nutrition goals (IE minimum protein, max/min total calories, etc) or like only recipes within a specific cookbook/collection, specific tags, etc. An option to "shuffle" recipes within those same parameters, and then the ability to "save" your selections once you're okay with what's generated. It'd be cool if the meal planner had differentiations between courses, too, to make it a bit simpler to look at.
I would like the ability to create subfolders for cookbooks, similar to how file folders work in Windows. This way, I can organize my cookbooks better than with tags.
I think it would be great to be able to edit the categories of the integrated shopping list, to which the ingredients are automatically assigned after they have been added, and also to add custom categories. It would also be ideal to arrange the categories in your own order so that you can organise them in the same way as the supermarket where you shop. PS: Sehr coole App, weiter so :) Grüße nach Hamburg
How do I search for recipes by ingredients rather than title of recipe? For example, how can I find a recipe that has chicken, ham and turmeric in the ingredients?
I currently have 172 recipes that don't have an image: I'd love to be able to automatically populate the image field based on the recipe title. This could be done using either AI generated images or publicly available images on the web.
I wish there was an option to create PDF for the cookbook and to download the cookbook and Print the cookbook if we wanted to. Something like this in the picture.
It would be great if you could crop photos that were automatically recognized as recipe images during scanning.
Possibility to add several images per recepe (and maybe several AI images)
A list where you write in what you have at home. Shopping list writes lest say carrots already in the inventory.
The possibility of sorting the recipes without filtering them (have them all appear but, for example, in order of score)
Link recipes. I have a base recipe that I start with for other recipes. I'd like to be able to link the base recipe as an ingredient.
This allows you to organize the categories in the order of your local grocery store.
In shopping lists, checked-off items should automatically move to the bottom under a separate “Checked” or “Completed” section. This helps keep the active list organized and focused on remaining items.
Store information about nutrients and let the Mr. Cook AI generate this information.
